My 18 year old son became a militant vegan who strives to never touch any animal product. He is 100% vegan. For the last year I have striven to be 95% Vegan which was a big transition for me. For me that means I avoid all animal products but I will use creamer at a Starbucks or eat a piece of cake at a party or eat an occasional bite of fish. I believe my effort makes a big difference in my carbon footprint and my animal karma. There are many purists that would disagree but my thesis is this: Getting non vegans to 95% is a great way to move the whole society more in this direction. As the society moves going higher percentages of veganism will be easier for us all!
